Estimates in Breeze

You can add estimates to Breeze in two ways:

Task estimates

You can add estimates to every task in your project. Estimates are a way to plan your work and keep projects on track.

To add an estimate open a project and click on the task you like to add an estimate. In the task window side menu click on the "Estimate" button.

Task estimate

Enter the amount of time in hours you estimate for the task. The input also supports minutes and works like the time tracking input.

  • 5 → 15 minutes
  • 15m → 15 minutes
  • 10h → 10 hours
  • 2 → 2 hours
  • 4h → 4 hours
  • 1d → 8 hours

You can always override the suggestion by using "h" or "m" to indicate hours or minutes.

The entered time is visible in the task window just next to the time tracking section.

User based task estimates

User based task estimates let each user add an estimate to a task. This lets you plan and manage task and user workloads.

User based task estimates are not enabled by default and you have to enable them under each projects' settings.

  1. Open the project you wish to enable user based estimates.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu on the top left corner, next to the project name.
  3. Choose "Project settings" from the drop down menu.
  4. Click on "Enable user based estimates".

Enable user based estimates

To add an estimate to a task open the task and you'll see a new estimate section under the time tracking section.

You can also add a date and a comment to each estimate.

The total task estimate is still calculated from the entries and you can also manually override the total.

User based task estimates let you see user and task workloads. You can run the user workload and task workload reports to get the insights.
