Automatic mentions, project group sorting, and improved notification controls
1. Automatic mentions when replying to comments
Comment threads in Breeze are now easier to follow. When you use the Reply option under any comment, Breeze automatically @‑mentions the original commenter for you. This means they will always receive the notification, even if you forget to type their name manually.
This improvement keeps discussions connected and ensures conversations stay clear, especially on busy projects. Replies stand out more, and the right people are notified at the right time.
Why this helps
Teams rely heavily on threaded comments to make decisions, give feedback, or clarify work. Automatic mentions remove the chance of someone missing a reply and reduce the amount of manual typing needed. It keeps communication smooth and prevents messages from slipping through the cracks.
2. Project groups sorting
You can now sort project groups on the project listing page individually. In the past, project group sorting was global: if one person changed it, it affected the entire team. Now each user can choose an order that fits their own workflow.
The new option is available under Project index settings. The default behavior remains the same as before, so nothing will change unless you customize it. Once adjusted, your own project group layout stays personal to you.
Why this helps
Teams organize projects differently. Some people sort by clients, some by workstreams, some by priority. Allowing each user to choose their own sorting makes navigation cleaner and helps reduce friction for teams handling many parallel projects. It’s a small change that makes the workspace feel more personal and easier to manage.
3. Member notifications management
Admin users now have full control over team‑wide email notifications. You can manage notification settings for every user directly from the Users page.
Open any user and you’ll see a new Notifications tab. From there you can adjust:
- which projects the user receives email notifications from
- which notification types are enabled or disabled
Why this helps
Notification preferences often drift over time, especially in large teams. Some users receive too much email, others not enough. With central management, admins can keep communication consistent, correct misconfigured accounts, and make sure new users are set up correctly from day one.
This update improves clarity, reduces noise, and ensures everyone receives the right updates at the right time.
