New list layout for projects and tasks in Breeze

Breeze has a new list layout that makes project and task work easier to scan, sort, and organize. Task properties like ID, name, status, assignee, due date, and custom fields are now shown as column headers, so you can see the important details without opening each task one by one.

You can also reorder columns per project and sort by column values. The updated list layout is available inside projects, on the Tasks page, and in the master project view.

Task details are now shown as columns

The updated list layout gives tasks a clearer table-style view. Instead of task details being harder to compare across the list, important properties now appear as column headers.

This makes it easier to review a project at a glance. You can scan task names, check status, see who is assigned, review IDs, and keep custom field information visible while you work.

The list can include columns such as:

  • Task ID
  • Task name
  • Status
  • Assignee
  • Due date
  • Custom fields
  • Other task properties

This is useful when a project has more than a few tasks and you need a clean way to compare information across the whole list.

Reorder columns for each project

Project list layout ordering columns

Different projects often need different task details near the front of the list. A client project might need client, priority, and approval status columns close to the task name. An internal project might need assignee, status, and due date first.

The new list layout lets you reorder columns per project, so each project can have a column order that matches the way that work is reviewed. The layout is not just a personal preference for one user - it helps keep the project list organized for the project itself.

For example, a project manager might keep status, assignee, and due date near the start of one project. A support project might put customer name, request type, or priority closer to the task name. A design project might put stage, reviewer, and launch date closer to the front.

Sort columns when you need a different view

The updated list layout also lets you sort by columns. This makes the same task list useful for different kinds of project reviews.

You can sort by due date when planning upcoming work, by status when checking progress, by assignee when reviewing ownership, or by a custom field when you need to focus on a specific part of your workflow.

Sorting helps answer simple project questions faster:

  • Which tasks are due first?
  • Which tasks are still open?
  • Who is assigned to what?
  • Which tasks are waiting for review?
  • Which custom field values need attention?

Instead of changing how your team creates tasks, the list gives you a better way to look at the work that is already there.

Custom fields are easier to see and use

Custom fields are more useful when they are visible. With the new list layout, custom fields can appear alongside the standard task properties as columns.

This helps teams track the extra details that matter to their work, such as priority, client, department, request type, budget, stage, estimate, or approval status.

When those fields are visible in the list, you can scan and sort them without opening each task. That makes custom fields more useful for everyday planning and review.

Available in projects, Tasks, and master project view

The new list layout is available in more than one place in Breeze.

Inside a project, it gives you a clearer way to review that project's tasks. On the Tasks page, it helps you manage work across projects. In the master project view, it gives you a broader view of tasks across the team.

This keeps the list experience more consistent across Breeze. Whether you are focused on one project or reviewing work across many projects, you can use the same column-based layout to see and organize task details.

A clearer list view for everyday project work

The updated list layout makes Breeze task lists easier to scan, adjust, and sort. It gives teams more control over how task information is shown without adding extra setup or complexity.
